PROFESSIONALS

Interview Preparation

Everyone wants the job, but getting the interview takes hard work and preparation. IAM students begin the process by researching career fields based on their interests and then identify potential employers, salaries, job outlook, and more. Students then begin to create and write a cover letter and develop a resume highlighting their skills and experiences. After applying, students practice their people skills so they can be prepared and ready for the interview.

The ACNY Foundation hosts 15-20 NYC high school teams for an annual Pitch Competition, in conjunction with ADVERTISING WEEK NY.

The ACNY Foundation partners with Virtual Enterprises International (VE), to transform students career goals through an experiential learning experience – preparing them for fulfilling, and financially secure futures.

The competition challenges students to create a viable campaign, based from a creative brief generated by our partners at The AD Council. From there, we enlist Mentors from our member agencies to spend three weeks working with teams…bringing their campaigns to life.

Promoting and introducing new career possibilities to NYC High School students, through a real-life, mentoring, and experiential learning program…encouraging new pathways to success!
