Social Studies
Whether we are discussing American history or the history of the world, our mission is the same. To create informed and productive citizens in an increasingly interconnected world. This includes investigating patterns and variations in history and politics and the voices that inform our understanding ourselves and our world.
Languages
By focusing on meaningful language use students will be able to communicate in authentic settings, become knowledgeable and understanding of the cultural contexts of another language, have the ability to make connections to knowledge through the target language, develop a unique insight through making comparisons across languages and cultures and become lifelong participants in multilingual communities.
Physical Education
Physical education classes combine instruction methods and teaching with courses in exercise methods, athletic training, health and nutrition.
Art
Students learn about the elements of art, color theory, design principles, hierarchy, contrast, and more.
BUILD NYC - Entrepreneurship
BUILD’s mission is to use entrepreneurship to ignite the potential of youth from under-resourced communities and propel them to high school, college & career success.
2+ year sequence where students learn how to be an entrepreneur and start their own business.
Computer Science
4 Year sequence specializing in software engineering and programming. In partnership with NYCDOE CS4All and Amazon and Edhesive Future Engineer Program (AFE).
Career & Technical Education
CTE courses include PowerPoint, video production, intro to advertising, visual communications, interactive media and marketing, and advanced website design and portfolio. Students will also gain knowledge of computer programs and design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
